2026 Seattle Deaf Lit Fest *1.08 PS (In Person Only)

**Event Registration Required: You must purchase your tickets/passes to attend directly through Deaf Spotlight.

Earn CEUs: HSDC CEU is providing a pathway to earn RID CEUs for your attendance at the 2026 Deaf Lit Fest (DLF) by Deaf Spotlight at the Hugo House from October 9-11, 2026. This festival will showcase featured guests: Deaf authors, poets, and graphic novelists who will be covering a variety of topics reflecting the greater community. The DLF will host workshops and panel discussions covering a variety of topics such as: Deaf culture, education, communication, disability, poetry, children’s stories, and Deaf experience. These dynamic workshops and discussions will present themes of representation, creative accessibility, language access, diversity, and communication barriers. (Maximum of 1.08 Professional Studies CEUs*)

Project Requirements: The 2026 Deaf Lit Fest is comprised of 8 separate sessions including workshops & panel discussions. For EACH session, you will respond to the 3 Session Reflective Questions provided on the purchased Independent Study Plan.

Next Steps: Upon purchase of this CEU Offering, you will receive an automatic email that contains the required RID Independent Study Plan application to earn CEUs. Please check your spam and junk folders. 1) Fill out the application. 2) Email it back to us at CEU@HSDC.org PRIOR to attending the DLF. 3) Attend the festival. 4) Email us your completed curriculum work outlined on the Independent Study Plan. 5) HSDC CEU will email you a confirmation once your CEUs are submitted to your RID transcript.

BEI/State Certified Interpreters: HSDC CEU can provide you with a certificate of completion for you to submit for earned CEUs. You will purchase the CEU program and submit the application. However, you will need to make a note that you need a certificate of completion instead of providing an RID member number.
